Roman Bart aka kOsMos3D, the founder of 3Djobs.com, a RomanTech | Investments company, graduated with a diploma in Computer 3D Animation from the International Academy of Design & Technology in July 2000. Soon after graduation Roman began working as a freelance Visual Effects Artist and Graphic Designer for many of his clients including award winning Visual Effects studio, Rocket Science VFX. Having entrepreneurial skills in business and sales, 3 years later working as an artist Roman decided to put 3D on the side and focus on a career in business and sales which later led to a new career in finance. Back in February of 2002 he had already registered a business name under the name of Roman TECH which would specialize in sales of high end video cards and computers. Roman TECH business quickly grew to over 250 clients in the first year and was on its way to potentially big success but Roman decided that he did not want to be the next Michael Dell so he stepped on the brakes and slowed the business down to focus on other things that he wanted to do. Since graduation Roman had a business name stuck in his head and it was 3D Jobs. He wanted to register 3djobs.com but it was already taken. So later in October 2005 he decided to go ahead and register 3DJobs.ca instead and hopefully to buy the 3djobs.com domain later on. It was not until April 21st of 2006 when Roman began his first day of work on the website. In less than 3 months later he launched the first version of the site which was a big achievement to him but the public described it as "Nothing but a toy." They were absolutely correct. How can one person build a big job site to be bigger than Monster that is run by hundreds of employees in only few months? It was a tough project but the challenge behind it and benefits that the site would bring to artists and studios was the drive that kept Roman continually building and improving and marketing the site. About a year later Roman launched a second new version of the site with a new logo design and new layout which proved to be a success. Traffic to the site began to gradually increase eventually it increased by 300% to 400%. But Roman knew that the site still required more work to reach a higher level of success so another year later he began working on the 3rd version which is the current version now and was launched on April 6, 2009. But the timing could not have been any better then it was before the launch, please read on.
As earlier stated, Roman always wanted the 3djobs.com domain but year after year the domain was never for sale so in 2009 Roman did not even bother checking again, until. On March 11, 2009 during a phone conversation with his sister the topic 3djobs came up and she suggested why Roman doesn’t register the 3djobs.com domain. He simply replied that the domain is not for sale. His sister wanted to be certain so she did a quick search and few seconds later she said that "The 3djobs.com is for sale.” Roman did not believe her and thought she was joking or looking at the wrong thing. She then repeated herself and Roman decided to conduct a search himself, once the search finished the 3DJobs.com came up in the search results as a domain that was available for purchase! Roman told his sister to hold on for a second, and in the background all what his sister heard was someone yelling and screaming out of excitement. After Roman discovered that the 3djobs.com domain was in fact for sale and apologized to his sister for doubting her and did not hesitate and purchased the domain right away for $449. In his vision this was a very good deal and it was the day when 3D Jobs was born once again.
