C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures located in downtown Toronto, Ontario is looking for VFX Stereoscopic Technical Director to work on a project for a major Hollywood studio. The work will involve a well known, well loved cartoon character who will be integrated into a live action setting.

Qualifications:
• Excellent working knowledge of software packages such as Nuke, Houdini, Maya, Renderman
• Excellent understanding of the latest 3D technology, particularly relating to rigging, lighting, camera, 3D tracking, modeling and rendering techniques
• Excellent understanding to related technical terminology
• Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix
• Excellent understanding of efficient 3D processes
• Excellent artistic ability/aptitude
• Ability to understand/interpret the creative requirements in order to create an accurate representation
• Good understanding of practical film making techniques
• Accredited Post secondary school compositing course or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Job Duties:
• Work with other cg artists to efficiently satisfy expectations
• May be responsible for lighting, rigging, modeling, camera setup/tracking/animation, and rendering
• Make timely corrections to work when required
• Take creative direction from leads and/or vfx Supervisor
• Additional duties as required
