Intermediate and Senior Compositors
SUMMARY:
Designs, develops, and produces large and/or small-scale digital composites for use in feature films or other applications.
The position requires creative vision to support the projects of Intelligent Creatures as well as hands on production skills.
Responsibilities:
- Produce 2D elements and complete final shots to a very high end standard for various applications that may involve some or all of the following disciplines; paint, rotoscope, design, tracking, compositing.
- Take direction from Visual Effects Supervisor, Producers and 2d Supervisor.
- Firm commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Use and maintain approved file structure and accepted internal workflows.
- Able to work and finish tasks unsupervised, as well as in a team setting.
- Able to complete 2D projects according to the expectations and budgets implemented by Intelligent Creatures.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge and ability to use the tools that produce Digital Composites; i.e. Nuke, Digital Fusion, Combustion, Shake etc.
- Artistic flexibility, versatility, ability to match and/or adapt 2D techniques to suit a range of production designs.
- Willingness and ability to learn new production tools and techniques as situations and/or supervisors require.
- Creative problem solving.
- Desire to do innovative, high quality work.
- Good understanding of both technical and creative aspect of projects.
- Strong design, composition and colour skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
- Skill, knowledge and understanding of visual effects, production and implementation
