Technical Artist - 3D Content Operations
Autodesk is seeking a Technical Artist to define and manage the "content creation pipeline" process for our new Project Dragonfly offering:
http://dragonfly.autodesk.c om/. The eligible candidate must be a self-starter who can work in a highly creative and dynamic, fast-paced environment. They must be able to communicate well across departments and within our Content Partner Network. The position involves the management of multiple projects and working with tight deadlines, thus flexibility is critical to the applicant's success.
Requirements:
· Ability to define, manage and optimize a scale-able "content creation pipeline" process that can be distributed to our Content Partner Network - this includes the creation and enforcement of content quality standards
· Must have experience and the ability to extend 3DSMax, (potentially Maya) with MaxScript and/or C++ Max SDK, C# or other programming/scripting languages
· Ability to create, modify and adjust 3D content in 3DS Max for production and testing purposes
· Ability to create materials and lighting for both photorealistic and non-photorealistic renderings - Mental Ray rendering experience is a plus
· Familiarity with variety of art tools, techniques and production methods
· Experience using scripting languages to create productivity and error reduction/validation tools
· Asset management experience
· Familiarity with Flex/Flash programming and web-development is a plus
· Photoshop experience in tile-able textures creation is a plus
· Experience: 6+ years as professional technical artist or equivalent experience
· Location: Toronto, ON (80% home office)
· Travel: Minimal; however, must be able to travel between Canada and US
